Medical Laboratory Scientist II
Medical Laboratory Scientist II at ARUP Laboratories in Salt Lake City: Requires Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or in the chemical or biological sciences; and ASCP or AAB certification as MLS or MT. In the Autoimmune Immunology 1 laboratory, the Medical Laboratory Scientist II will perform testing methods for multi-analyte fluorescent detection, Ouchterlony double immunodiffusion, line immunoassay, immunoprecipitation and indirect fluorescent antibody testing platforms. Will operate and maintain instrument platforms such as Helmed, Quantalyser 3000/240 slide processors, NovaView microscope systems and Olympus microscopes. Will participate in preparing specimens for processing; establish, perform, and document quality assurance, quality control, confirm and verify results through in-depth knowledge of techniques, principles, and instruments. Correlates, interprets and enters data based on knowledge of factors affecting test results.
