Bank of the Pacific has a unique opening for an individual to oversee our marketing department and guide strategic marketing initiatives.  Over four decades ago a small group of local businessmen in Long Beach, Washington came together to create a bank that would focus on the community. In 1971, the Bank of the Pacific was formed and the Bank was given a charter in 1972.  Eight years later, The Bank of Grays Harbor in Aberdeen, Washington was created by a group of local business people who shared many of the same values and vision as the earlier group. Their goal was to provide great personal service, make decisions locally, and be active and supportive in their communities. Year after year the number of local businesses and families they served grew because the Bank provided them with knowledgeable financial solutions. In late 1999 a merger of equals was formed between the two banks. In 2004 Bank Northwest, based in Bellingham, Washington, became part of the Bank of the Pacific family.  Today, there are sixteen branch locations in Western Washington and Northern Oregon. Job summary:     

At the direction of the COO or other Executive Team members, plans, recommends, creates, and coordinates marketing/advertising materials and implementation of new products and services. Develops short and long-range marketing objectives and develops performance standards for measuring progress. Advises and assists branches and departments on marketing strategy, implementation of marketing initiatives, with compliance and regulatory requirements.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develops annual marketing budget, annual Strategic and Tactical Marketing Plan and updates Marketing Policy for annual review by the Board of Directors. 
  • Monitor, prepare & provide analytical and statistical data as they relate to marketing programs, services, products and promotions.
  • Develops and coordinates the creation of all bank collateral, print ads, radio ads, TV ads, Digital landing pages, program ads, statement stuffers and flyers to support all bank products and services. 
  • Provides content for the Bank’s On-Screen presentations that show in branch lobbies.
  • Acts as liaison to advertising and marketing consultants or agencies. 
  • Creates, reviews, and approves press releases, marketing memorandums and other correspondence as required. 
  • Manages and maintains the Bank’s website, Social Media sites and other digital or online presence.  Monitors the Bank’s Website Accessibility for compliance and updates Website Accessibility Policy.
  • Maintains records for all marketing, advertisement and collateral and product development.
  • Writes copy and coordinates the production and placement of radio ads, TV ads, print ads, digital advertising and other advertising.
  • Creates or manages all creation and placement of digital advertising.
  • Tracks the response and effectiveness of advertising/marketing campaigns. 
  • Prepares and distributes sales/marketing materials and promotional items. 
  • Coordinates various events, golf tournaments, open houses and trade shows.
  • Coordinates requests for donations.
  • Manages scholarship programs.
  • Works with Risk Assessment Team and Vendor Manager to negotiate vendor agreements and approves invoices. 
  • Assists branch management and commercial with project implementation for various marketing activities, ensuring deadlines are met and projects are completed within budget.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and community events from conception to implementation that align with corporate vision, values and focus.
  • Coordinate with CRA Officer to meet bank wide CRA reporting requirements.
  • Provide guidance to branches and departments to ensure bank branding standards are maintained.
  • Updates and maintains Marketing section on the Bank’s Intranet (HUB).
  • Manage inventory and disbursement of bank logo items to one or more branches.
  • Approve special orders to ensure guidelines are met.
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned.
