Bellingham Technical College (BTC), Bellingham Washington, invites applications for one full-time

Admissions & Outreach Specialist.  

The Admissions & Outreach Specialist promotes BTC to diverse populations and represents the college in a professional and inclusive manner. The position builds relationships with prospective and new students, their families, high school and community partners to support college initiatives for recruitment. The position works collaboratively with BTC employees to ensure prospective students receive pertinent and timely information. The position will serve as generalists for the department with an emphasis on supporting admissions, transcript evaluation, outreach and recruitment efforts. Position is anticipated to start in July, 2022.

Required minimum qualifications include: Associates (A.A.) degree from an accredited institution AND at least two years of full-time experience in case management, academic/career or counseling; OR a combination of experience and training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered. Demonstrated ability and commitment to support the success of individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varied academic abilities and social identities; Experience working successfully with a team; Excellent interpersonal communication skills; Demonstrated success and comfort with public speaking; Experience with computer software and apps to create written communications and presentations; Valid driver's license and insurable to college requirements.  

Full time salary is $4,502 per month ($54,024 annual). Position also receives sick, personal and vacation leave accruals, paid state holidays, and a Washington State insurance and retirement benefits package.  Positions are also eligible for some tuition waiver benefits.
