Program Office Coordinator
Bellingham Technical College invites applications for one full-time regular classified Program Office Coordinator for the testing Assessment Center. This position reports to the Admissions Program Manager. Position is anticipated to start in August 1, 2022.
Under general direction of the Admissions Manager, perform work using knowledge and experience specific to the Assessment Center. Exercise judgement in interpreting and applying rules and regulations, under consultation with the Executive Director and Admissions Manager. Independently provide information to students, staff, programs participants and/or the public regarding program content, policies, procedures and activities; select/recommend alternative courses of action. The Program Office Coordinator supports operations by arranging testing with students and college employees, schedules individual test appointments, maintains rosters of testers, arranges and monitors equipment and testers.
Minimum Qualifications: High school graduation or equivalent AND minimum two years of recent increasingly responsible full-time equivalent clerical experience in office, clerical or administrative work that includes working with the public and/or students; student support and/or assessment testing; OR A.A. or higher AND minimum one-year recent employment in similar setting and/or educational setting; OR a combination of experience and training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered. Also requires excellent customer service experience.
Effective July 1, 2022, full-time salary is $3,657 per month; $21.02 per hour. Position also receives sick, personal and vacation leave accruals, paid state holidays, Washington State insurance and retirement benefits package, and some tuition waiver benefits.
