Project Director
Bellingham Technical College (BTC), Bellingham Washington, invites applications for one full-time professional position as a Project Director for the TRIO program.
This position provides leadership for BTC’s TRIO SSS grant, overseeing development, implementation and continuous improvement of the program. The federal TRIO SSS grant program helps colleges provide intensive support services for low-income, first-generation college students, and students with disabilities who demonstrate need for additional support in college-level coursework. BTC’s SSS program serves 140 students per year and provides targeted and effective resources and services to support student retention and completion. Services the program provides to SSS project participants includes intensive coaching, structured intake/orientation, dedicated supplemental academic support, peer mentoring, and leadership/educational opportunities.
Required minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Business, Education, Human Services, Student Affairs, or related field; Two years administrative and supervisory experience in education or a related field; Two years of experience designing, managing, or implementing SSS projects or similarly complex federal or state funded projects in education or a related field including complex budget management; Experience working with individuals of varied ethnicity, ages, backgrounds, and abilities; Demonstrated skillset using varied computer applications including Microsoft Office products, virtual platforms, and varied databases; or a combination of experience and training that provides the applicant with the knowledge and skills to perform the job will be considered.
FT salary is $5,477 per month ($65,724 per year). Position also receives sick, personal and vacation leave accruals, paid state holidays, Washington State insurance and retirement benefits package, and some tuition waiver benefits.
