City Of Blaine, applications are being accepted for a full time Assistant Public Works Director.
Regular full-time starting salary: $6,360 per month (2017 wages) plus benefits
Under general direction of the Public Works Director, assists in the operations of Public Works including department administration, project grant/funding programs, city utilities (water distribution and storage, sanitary sewer collection, treatment, and distribution of reclaimed water, storm collection, electric distribution), streets, fleet, facilities, parks, and cemetery maintenance. Oversees, directs, plans, organizes, evaluates, and participates in the functions and activities of the operations and maintenance of Public Works.
Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, engineering, or related field supplemented by a minimum of five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in government operations, utilities management, facilities management, or public works, including two years of supervisory and administrative responsibility.
Equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the incumbent with the necessary qualifications may be considered.
