Finance Director
City of Burlington is seeking an accomplished public sector professional to serve as Finance Director. $104,159 - $117,232 annually; FLSA exempt, non-represented position. Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business or other related field. Five (5) to ten (10) years municipal accounting and finance experience with progressively increasing management and professional responsibility. Minimum three (3) years management and supervisor experience in an accounting environment. Extensive knowledge of the State of WA Budget, Accounting & Reporting Systems (BARS). A valid WA State driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier. Must be bondable.
The Finance Director is responsible for overall management and supervision of City financial operations and functions including general accounting, investment portfolio management, budget preparation and monitoring, payroll and benefits, accounts payable and receivable, utility billing and collection, fixed asset control, and cemetery lots sales and burials.
The Finance Director is responsible for the accurate recording, reporting, and auditing of financial activities. This position is responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the City and functions as the City Clerk. Please see job description for more details.
Qualifications
