The City of Freeport, IL is looking for a full-time Deputy City Clerk. Reporting to the City Clerk, this position is responsible for preparing board packets, preparing agendas and meeting minutes, attending occasional evening meetings, responding to FOIA requests, assisting with licensing and permits, and other miscellaneous duties. This position also backs up the Executive Assistant to the Mayor and City Manager in case of absence. Ability to handle confidential matters and proficiency in MS Office Suite - Outlook, Word, and Excel are required. Must be a fast learner and self-motivated.
Starting salary is $16.00 to $17.50 per hour depending on qualifications. The City of Freeport offers a benefit package that includes an IMRF pension, health insurance and more.
