WWTP TRAINEE
The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of WWTP Trainee. Employees in this position may be asked to perform varied semi-skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of a Waste Water Treatment and/or Sewage pumping plant, while working with a GELC 227 employee of a higher classification, including work involving the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and equipment at the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Experience in the operation of a personnel computer
- Successful completion of a minimum of one year of full-time schooling beyond the high school level in a mechanical trade, pre-engineering curriculum, or applied science or applied technology curriculum, or hold a Michigan Class D operator’s license
- Copy of diploma or official sealed transcripts required at time of applcation
- Possession of a license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of Michigan.
- Driving record must meet the city standards to be insurable.
- Copy of driver’s license required at time of application
Pay rate: $18.43/year - $23.97/hour
