Job Summary
The Department of Marketing in the Monte Ahuja College of Business is seeking to hire a Visiting Assistant College Lecturer position beginning January 6, 2025. This is a full time, visitor position and not tenure track. This position may be renewed for additional academic years, up to 3 years.

Responsibilities include teaching 4 courses per semester (up to 24 credit hours per academic year) of undergraduate and/or graduate courses. Teach primarily marketing courses including but not limited to: Fundamentals of Marketing, Sales, Marketing Consulting, Consumer Behavior, and Digital Marketing.Course development and enhancement through new technologies and innovations in teaching and learning and advising students. Provide service to the department, college, and university including management of the AMA Student Organization. Cultivate industry partnerships that facilitate experiential student learning such as internships, student projects, and job opportunities with Northeast Ohio business leaders. Must be available to teach online, on-campus, day, or evening classes.

The Department of Marketing has 12 full-time faculty members and offers coursework at the bachelor, master and doctoral levels.

The Monte Ahuja College of Business has 80 full-time faculty members, with a current enrollment of over 3,000 students. We offer 14 undergraduate majors, 16 minors, and 6 graduate programs, and a doctoral program. These programs are accredited at both the graduate and undergraduate levels by the AACSB.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s in Business Administration/Marketing or related discipline;
• Minimum of one year of recent, post-secondary teaching experience in Marketing;
• Minimum of one year of full-time business/professional experience with a marketing focus;
• Effective oral and written communication skills;
• Ability to enhance and teach Marketing courses using lectures, discussions, and presentations;
• Demonstrated experience working with university students of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD or DBA in Marketing or related discipline;
• Three years university teaching experience in Marketing;
• Three years of full-time business/professional experience with a marketing focus;
• Ability to design and teach Marketing courses using current digital communications platforms;
• Experience in managing client-based applied business projects in the classroom;
• Extensive professional network.
