- Employer Recruitment Assistant - The Career Services Center at Coastal Carolina University seeks an Employer Recruitment Assistant (Program Assistant) to oversee the recruitment of employers and internship providers for students and graduates of Coastal Carolina University.
This position works independently under the supervision of the Director of Career Services and will be responsible for the coordination of all employer recruitment activities of the center, including, but not limited to: On-campus employer recruitment; oversight of Career and Internship Fairs; Job-Shadowing programs; Employer data-base management; administration of web-based university job-posting platform; disseminating university information to current and potential employers; presentations to classes, on and off-campus groups and in orientation sessions; working in conjunction with Director of Internships and Service Learning and the Coordinator of Employment to deliver services to students and employers; and other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and related experience or equivalent education training and experience are required. Bachelor's degree or higher in Higher Education, Business, Communication or Behavioral/Social Sciences is preferred. Experience in working with Employer Recruitment and college/university students is also preferred. Successful candidate should also possess: specialized training/experience in use of web-based information management systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); skills in maintaining and establishing effective relationships with students, faculty, staff and local and national businesses; experience related to providing direct student services; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with public; knowledge of excellent business practices, including file management, word processing, proofreading and editing written correspondence; advanced knowledge and skills in current computer technology and social media; ability to hire, train and supervise student employees; excellent public speaking skills; and ability to work independently or as a member of team. Some overnight travel may be required for recruitment activities and training opportunities.
