Early Head Start Teacher
Do you Enjoy Working with Infants and Toddlers? Have you taken College coursework in Infant/Toddler Development? CEEN Early Head Start is hiring for Infant and Toddler Teachers for the 2019-2020 Program Year. These positions will work with typically developing children, children with disabilities, bilingual children, and families living in poverty. Teachers serve as the lead primary caregiver in a classroom of 6-8 Early Head Start infants and toddlers. 40 hours/week; non-exempt; 46-52 weeks per program year; great benefits. Pay $16.17 per hour. CEEN will pay for college coursework for eligible staff.
Minimum Requirements for Infant Teachers: Current CDA Or CDA equivalent (12 ECE credits) to include ECE 101, 103, 111 (EQIT) and 9 months (1,395 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of 4 or more children from birth to 3. Or AA degree in ECE to include ECE 101, 103 and 111 (EQIT) and 6 months (910 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of 4 or more children from birth to 3.

Responsibilities: Works with a team to promote the growth and development of Infants and Toddlers. Responsible for the weekly preparation of daily lesson plans, which includes learning objectives and developmentally appropriate activities. Documents all child observations, individual goals, assessments. Maintains a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment.
