Compass Health is currently looking for a School-based Clinician II for our Child & Family Services program in Skagit County. This position will provide mental health counseling to children, youth, and sometimes their families as needed at selected schools in the Anacortes School District.The Clinician II operates as an embedded clinician in the schools and works as an integral part of the larger school team. The Clinician will deliver a blend of direct therapy and some classroom observation, teacher coaching/training, and the potential of offering group therapy as indicated. This position will ensure all required documentation, policies, and practices are followed with regard to client care and will create and update treatment plans and crisis plans to ensure highest quality of care for clientele.POSITION SUMMARYJob Title: School-based Clinician II Program: 41003 - Child & Family Services, Skagit CountyLocation: Mount VernonHours: Full-time (40 hours/week)Wage: $18.51 - $34.24/hour DOEREQUIREMENTSMA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field. Qualifies as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC preferred.Meets educational and training requirements for designation as a Child Mental Health Specialist preferred. Current Washington State Licensure or equivalent in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling preferred.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Evidence-Based Practices, or interest and ability to learn. Individuals who do not already hold a license or associate license through the Washington State Department of Health must submit Agency Affiliated Counselor application upon hire and be approved by the DOH. Valid Washington State Driver's License including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable. Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. General computer proficiency, including the ability to utilize electronic medical record systems.
