ABOUT THE POSITION

This role provides leadership to the services, personnel, and direction of the Advising, Counseling, and Career Center (ACC Center). The Director of the Advising, Counseling and Career Center is responsible for strategic planning, program development, advancement of success initiatives, and assessment.

This position provides oversight of staff and faculty, collaborates across the college community, and ensures resources are in place to provide effective services and support to students. These services align with the strategic vision of the institution and Student Affairs division by providing academic, career, social, personal, and mental health support to students.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

The following qualifications are required to move forward your candidacy; as such, ensure your application contains descriptions of your work experience sufficient to demonstrate proficiency in each of the following:

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Higher Education, Student Affairs, Psychology, or another related field
  • 3 years of professional work experience in a Student Affairs position in higher education such as Advising, Counseling, Career Services, or related areas
  • 3 years supervisory or leadership experience

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s) that will be interviewed for

  • The ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse higher education community
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional human relations, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in assessment or quality improvement
  • Experience working in a collective bargaining environment
  • Record of success in working with diverse student populations
  • Experience working with database systems and communication software

Salary Range: Annually from $71,201 to $102,583 *Salary placement is dependent on education and experience
