ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
Hours 6:30 am – 3:00 pm M-F. Exempt position with occasional weekend/night work necessary.
Northeast Commercial Interiors – an established flooring company located in Watervliet offers the full time position of Assistant Project Manager. Position will primarily assist the Project Manager to execute quality commercial flooring projects. Pay scale offered will be determined by the candidate’s experience and references provided. We offer full benefits including health insurance and paid time off.
Primary Tasks Include
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and managing subcontractors on numerous large scale flooring jobs
- Install smaller scale flooring jobs including repairs, punch list items, etc
- Assist with staging, loading and delivering materials to job sites / Heavy lifting and forklift necessary
- Job site management - keep Project Manager informed of all job details as they happen
- Participate in weekly company meetings and job site meetings with Customers as needed
The successful candidate will possess the following abilities and traits
*Good communication skills, both writing and speaking, and a team attitude
*Able to install most flooring materials
*Experience juggling several ongoing projects at the same time
*Anticipate customers’ needs and be willing to step up to the task using all your skill sets
*Friendly, calm, detail oriented / Creative problem solver
*Willing to learn basic computer programs i.e. Excel, Word, and Dropbox
