Claims Specialist – Workers’ Compensation Trust and Unemployment Pool
The Workers’ Compensation Trust and Unemployment Pool (WCTUP) seeks a Claims Specialist to assist with processing workers’ compensation claims in compliance with industrial insurance laws and state regulations; support school districts, educational organizations, claimants, vendors, and providers by disseminating and providing information regarding workers’ compensation claims and claims status.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state. Minimum Qualifications (PSESD encourages all candidates meeting the minimum qualifications to apply)
- High School diploma/GED and progressively responsible work-related experience
- Previous insurance experience (i.e. medical, workers’ compensation, property & casualty, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Cover letter should specifically address any experience meeting the preferred qualifications)
- Customer service experience;
- Experience with workers’ compensation and/or liability claims.

This is a full-time, year ‘round union-represented position, located in Renton, Washington. Minimum salary: $22.55 per hour. Candidate offers consider experience, qualifications and internal equity.
