Grant Accounting Consultant
Puget Sound Educational Service District (PSESD) seeks a Grant Accounting Consultant to provide budgeting, monitoring, and auditing for our governmental grants, contracts, and non-grant agency programs. As a member of the Finance Department, the Grant Accounting Consultant will administer and monitor accounting activities, process financial information, and perform auditing to ensure accuracy and compliance with program regulations and grant requirements.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts, charter schools and state-approved private schools in Washington. Educational Service Districts, created by the legislature, are an essential regional delivery system for early learning and K-12 services in the state. Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in job-related field, Washington Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) Certification, or Grants Management Certification.
- A substitute for the above education requirement is a non-related Associate’s degree plus job-related professional experience.
- Experience in Accounting, Financial Management, or related area.
- Experience in grant accounting and/or educational agency accounting.
- Experience with Federal and State regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Auditing experience.
- Experience with a large mainframe accounting system.
- Experience in governmental accounting.
Position located in Renton, Washington. Schedule: Full-time, year-round. Salary: $62,312 - $72,263/year. Salary offers consider candidate qualifications, experience and internal equity.
