Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Campus Sustainability Program.
Primary Job Duties: Serve as the Program Director and Chair of the University Sustainability Committee. Foster a culture of sustainability across all divisions of the University and among students, faculty, and staff. Identify, prioritize, and manage institutional sustainability initiatives including the use of student Green Fund resources. Plan and develop short- and long-range sustainability programs and provide annual progress reports. Collaborate and network with local jurisdictions and peer USM institutions to support local and regional sustainability initiatives and maintain knowledge of sustainability best practices on college campuses. Advise Physical Plant and Architectural & Engineering Services on sustainability best practices for operations and maintenance and design and construction.
Minimum Qualifications: At least five years’ job related experience. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies, Engineering, Urban Planning, or Construction Management or related field. Proficient with sustainability standards such as LEED and Green Globes.
Must be detail oriented and have excellent interpersonal, customer service, organization and planning, prioritization, problem solving, follow through, time management, and oral and written communication skills. Also, must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a high energy, fast paced setting and work well under pressure, work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Qualifications: LEED AP or WELL AP certification
This is a full-time, exempt State position with a full benefits package. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
