Position located outside Sultan WA.
Basic Responsibilities:
Provides leadership on all aspects of the planning, organization, scheduling and support functions of the Generation Operational Technology (OT) systems (SCADA/PLC/Generation controls and diagnostics). Develops, implements, and improves technical work processes in the applications of OT systems and cyber security issues as they relate to OT systems to cost effectively meet District needs. Manages the planning, development, organization, communication, and implementation of District Generation group OT projects requiring work and coordination of multiple internal and external individuals and groups with diverse interests. Serves as a project leader on OT technical matters and coordinates technical work of a team of in-house engineers and technicians on specific projects while reporting developments and job status to the Manager, Generation Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Science, Computer Science, or Engineering related field; OR the equivalent combination of related education and experience, AND;
- Eight (8) years progressive engineering related experience, including five (5) of those years in the electric utility industry with three (3) years in a supervisory, lead, or project manager capacity.
- Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work of the nature defined for this job level;
*Note: For the employee who has met the minimum entry education and experience requirements, the additional time required to be proficient in performing the job is six months to one year.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Computer Science.
- Knowledge of Federal requirements for dam-safety and economics of bulk electric system strongly desired.
