Basic Responsibilities

Contracts & Purchasing Agent I:

Provides and coordinates support activities in the Contracts/Purchasing area under the direction of the Manager, Contracts/Purchasing.  Interfaces with vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal customers.  Prepares contract documents, reports, and related correspondence for material, labor, and services procurement.

Contracts & Purchasing Agent II:

Responsible for procuring acceptable materials, supplies, equipment, contractors, and consultants in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner; and administering, coordinating, analyzing, and evaluating requests, specifications and contract documents. 

Minimum Qualifications

Contracts & Purchasing Agent I:

  • Five (5) years office clerical experience, including two (2) years experience in customer service.
  • Knowledge of contracts and purchasing concepts, methods, laws and practices.


Contracts & Purchasing Agent II:

  • Associates degree in Business Administration or related field; and,
  • Three (3) years progressively more responsible contracts and purchasing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electric Utility experience.
  • Public procurement experience.
  • Experience using SAP in a supply chain environment.
