First Steps PAT Home Visitor
This is a unique opportunity to work directly with families of young children.
Job duties include: Act as a parent advocate and support families to become self-advocates. Provide home visits to families utilizing the PAT curriculum. Provide accurate documentation of all home visits and periodic required documentation. Attend scheduled staff meetings, in-service, and monthly mentoring meetings with supervisor. Perform screenings for ECHO. Support playgroups at the Family Center and participate in Family Center community events. Serve as a link to community resources for families served by assisting the family to identify needs and locate resources.
Qualifications: Prefer B.A. Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Education, Early Childhood Education or related field. Will consider someone with an associates degree in any of the above fields, who has previous experience with young children, families, or home visiting. Must be trained in and maintain certification in the Parents as Teacher's (PAT) curriculum. Must have a Colorado driver's license and certificate of personal auto insurance on file at all times. Must have three years of good driving record and be willing to work various hours, which may include nights and weekends. If the candidate's background does not include course work in early childhood education, additional classes must be taken after employment.
