Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
The Swinomish Tribal community is looking for a full time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. The Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner Nurse plays a vital role in the administration of Psychiatric treatment care. This individual will work at the highest capacity within the scope of practice established by the Swinomish Tribe. This position is under the supervision of the Medical Director. Conducts and completes physical and psychiatric evaluations including diagnostic formulation, clinical risk assessment, and treatment recommendations. Educates patients appropriately including providing culturally and educationally sensitive information necessary for the patient to make informed consent for all aspects of treatment and care as it relates to their mental health.
Provides consultation and referrals to primary care providers for management of the patients physical health care. Documents all services in patient medical record manner consistent with Swinomish Health Services. Maintain HIPPA, ethical standards and professional boundaries. Participates in management, staff and client meetings and any training activities as required. Salary depends on experience.
Minimum qualifications: Must have a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner must hold an active ARNP or PMHNP license in the state of Washington. Valid RN certification. Masters degree, post graduate, or doctoral degree from accredited program. Worked a minimum of 500 supervised clinical hours. Must have experience working with indigenous populations. Be able to pass state and federal background checks and drug screen. Ability to perform basic computer processing tasks. Additional forms of psychotherapeutic treatment preferred.
