Director, College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP)
Salary range: $4,587 - $6,881
Regular (full-time) Employee – 40 hours per week (Benefited)

The Director of the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) is responsible for providing administrative leadership in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all program services.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Behavioral Sciences or related field.
2. Demonstrated experience directing, organizing, and overseeing administration of a program including staff supervision, fiscal responsibility for budget preparation and financial planning, and resource allocation for maximum utilization. Demonstrated experience leading and motivating staff in changing times through effective organizational planning, team building, problem solving, and conflict management.
3. Demonstrated experience in counseling and guidance or related student services field and in working with minority and low income students.
4. Demonstrated experience in coordinating programs. Demonstrated knowledge of the methods and problems in organization and program management.
5. Demonstrated understanding of short- and long-range planning, including financial management/controls, budgeting, fiscal accountability, and use of new technologies and resources to make effective decisions.
6. Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze information, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations.
7. Demonstrated skill to work independently with little direction and coordinate many different tasks, determining the importance of each, set deadlines and complete projects accordingly.
8. Demonstrated experience working with public schools and/or other public agencies, which serve Hispanic/Latino and/or migrant populations. Demonstrated general knowledge of the unique cultural traits found in migrant families.
9. Excellent written and oral command of the English and Spanish language including grammar, spelling and punctuation.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to establish, communicate and maintain cooperative working relationships with diverse ethnic and language communities and specifically with migrant students, parents, teachers, administrators, community persons, office colleagues, and University Enterprises staff.
11. Demonstrated experience using computer applications including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases such as the programs in the Microsoft Office Suite.
12. Ability to teach at the university/college level.
13. Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative research in higher education.
14. Must be legally eligible to drive in California, complete and pass an online training course, maintain a good driving record, and be acceptable for vehicle insurance coverage under the University Enterprises insurance plan. Must continue to meet the established driving standards; driving record will be monitored with the California Department of Motor Vehicles to ensure compliance.
15. Must be fingerprinted and pass a background check. Must continue to meet the established standards.
