The Student Health and Wellness (SHaW) Clinical Application Analyst participates in the design, maintenance, implementation, and documentation of clinical applications solutions. This position collaborates with SHaW colleagues and campus partners to maintain/improve the electronic health record (PyraMED) and other clinical systems applications and creates solutions to improve workflow.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with clinical and operational staff to analyze, optimize and document PyraMED workflows.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and enhance coding using such tools as Python, SQL, HTML and JavaScript
  • Generate system queries, reports, and forms, determining appropriate fields and values to use to meet report requirements.
  • Collect, clean, mine and analyze data and reports.
  • Troubleshoot issues with tools and administrative or system workflows.
  • Provide end-user support and training for PyraMED users.
  • Create and maintain user accounts and permissions.
  • Manage the Jira ticketing system.
  • Perform related duties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and one year of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the degree and work requirement.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of system applications and their functionality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software applications
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of Oracle Databases, Oracle SQL, JavaScript, Python, HTML, C#
  • Skilled in critical thinking, problem solving and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain records and produce complex reports to support operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to analyze available information, draw conclusions and understandings, and present such conclusions effectively.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence

APPOINTMENT TERMS

This is a temporary special payroll position with a schedule of approximately 30 – 35 hours per week. The start date for this position is as soon as possible and will continue for approximately 6 months. A standardized schedule falling between the core operating hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays is expected. Hourly rate will be commensurate with skills and experience.
