About the Position

The Administrative Assistant 3 is responsible for the supervision of program support staff involved in the performance of duties associated with Residence Life. Under general direction, the administrative assistant 3 will perform work using knowledge and experience specific to the Residence Life program.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in addition to the ability to support an inclusive residence hall community
  • Proficient in computers and applicable software; including MS Office
  • Able to work some evening and weekends during busy times (training, move-in)
  • Experience in customer service-related work and the ability to work under pressure, prioritize deadlines, and handle many responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications    

  • AA, BA, or technical degree.
  • Experience using WWIS Banner Student Information System or large information databases such as Microsoft Access.
  • Experience working at a higher education institution.

Salary

$3,607 - $4,817/month depending on qualifications and experience

Bargaining Unit

This position is part of bargaining unit PT and is covered by the collective bargaining agreement with Public School Employees of WWU.
