Assist the Director of University Residences
Primary professional for cultural, residential and academic transitions through supportive cultural, social and educational communities actively involving student learning. Providing oversight for a campus community of approximately 1,745 of the 4,100 residential students, the Assistant Director of Residence Life / Equity and Inclusion is assigned responsibility for supervising four (4) resident directors. In collaboration with other department and campus colleagues, (i.e. Ethnic Student Center, Equal Opportunity Office, Human Resources, Counseling Center, and other campus representatives), this position will cultivate positive, nurturing and academically focused residential communities assisting in students’ success and satisfaction. Positive individual and community interaction is vital for students to benefit from diversity by together encouraging individuals as well as groups of students from diverse racial, ethnic, international, and domestic backgrounds in meaningful interactions. This person will assume programmatic leadership to student residential communities related to inclusion, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
