About the Position
The primary purpose of the Assistant Athletic Trainer (ATC) is to administer primary and secondary health care throughout an athlete's career at WWU. The primary functions of an Assistant Athletic Trainer (ATC) are defined within these five domains:
- Prevention of athletic injury
- Recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries
- Rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletic injuries
- Health care administration
- Professional development and responsibility
This is a full-time project employment position, ending June 30, 2020.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in an accredited NATA/BOC program.
- Must be certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA)Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and interpersonal
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to effectively working with faculty, staff and students of diverse social identities and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in delivering athletic training services to student-athletes
Salary Commensurate experience, including an excellent benefit package
