Whatcom Community College invites applications for a part-time adjunct nursing instructor to teach in the nursing skills and simulation lab of the Nursing Program starting as soon as available. This position works collaboratively with the Lead Simulation instructor, other Nursing instructors, and the Simulation technologist to design and implement innovative clinical simulation experiences, as well as supporting instructors and students in nursing skills lab. This 6 credit instructional position generally has teaching responsibilities on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The successful candidate actively contributes to a work environment that embraces diversity and uses diverse perspectives to enhance the attainment of organizational goals and works collaboratively with other nursing faculty to support student learning and meet program outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (and eligible for faculty waiver from Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission).
- Current acute care clinical experience of at least 3 years.
- Current unencumbered Washington State Registered Nursing license or the ability to obtain license by start date.
- Able to pass background checks and meet program requirements for immunizations and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
- Comfortable working with technology.
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a demanding college environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and abilities.
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Knowledge and experience with nursing simulation.
- An understanding of the mission of a community college.
- A desire to provide a unique and quality experience for students.
- Treats everyone with respect and dignity, and appreciates the differences in people.
- Based on the current adjunct salary schedule.
- Immediately, based on availability of candidate.
