FT Faculty Librarian Description
Whatcom Community College invites applications for a full time, tenure-track faculty Systems Librarian beginning fall quarter, 2021. This individual plays an active leadership role in the planning, development, management and support of the library’s technological infrastructure, electronic resources, and the library’s web presence. In collaboration with staff in the College’s Information Technology Services department the Systems Librarian will share leadership and responsibility for planning, developing, integrating, implementing, and maintaining the digital systems and services through which the Library supports users in finding, using, preserving, and sharing information. The Systems Librarian’s primary focus will include technical aspects of library systems across all the library’s functions, with greater emphasis on the Library Service Platform (LSP), electronic resources, interlibrary services system, and collaboration with staff supporting the digital repository and publishing systems. The Library uses a mixture of proprietary and open-source systems, including Ex Libris’s Alma LSP and Primo VE discovery layer; Omeka-S; and WordPress and PressBooks. The System Librarian is expected to actively participate in the WACTCLC (Washington Community and Technical College Library Consortium) and ELUNA (Ex Libris Users of North America).

Program Coordinator Fin. Aid Description
Whatcom Community College invites applications for a Full-Time Temporary Program Coordinator (class code 107N) position in the college's Financial Aid department. This position reports to the Director for Financial Aid. This position provides administrative support to the Director of Financial Aid. Responsibilities include work-study supervision, records management, and program coordination of communication to students providing high level customer service, in-depth technical financial aid information communicated clearly, updating web pages and other communication tools to empower diverse students populations and guide them through financial aid process and maximize their options.
Program Coordinator Registration Description
Whatcom Community College invites applications for a Full-time Temporary Program Coordinator (Class Code 107N) position in the College's Registration/Records Department. The Program Coordinator (PC) in Entry and Enrollment Services provides a welcoming and supportive environment for entry services to students, staff, faculty, and the community. The PC is responsible for supporting admissions and registration processes that include data entry, configuring student management system, troubleshooting, and other communications to new and current students. The PC works collaboratively with departments who have unique admissions and registration processes and requirements (i.e. International programs, Running Start, Transitional Learning, and Athletics.) The PC communicates with departments across campus to ensure accurate registration and enrollment records (i.e. financial aid, business office, BFET, veterans, AIM.) The PC works with students, staff, and faculty to troubleshoot admission and registration issues. The PC supports part-time hourly and work study students and reports to the Associate Director for Entry Services. This recruitment is open to ALL qualified applicants. Program Specialist 2 Fin. Aid Description
Whatcom Community College invites applications for a Classified, Full-Time Temporary Program Specialist 2 (Class Code 1071) in the Financial Aid department.
Reporting to the Director for Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Program Specialist 2 advises students and parents on the various financial aid programs. This position assists with the administration of one or more federal, state, or institutional financial aid programs, evaluates Financial Aid applications in order to determine student eligibility for various financial aid programs, and collects data and accurate records for grant and program reporting purposes.
