Custodian 5 (Custodial Supervisor): Interacts with all members of the campus community as well as contractors, public agencies, and the general public. Work is assigned both electronically via the facilities work request system and/or verbally depending on the project scope. This is a "working" supervisor position. This position is expected to perform regular custodial duties in addition to assigned supervisory responsibilities. Director for Athletics and Recreation: The Director for Athletics and Recreation is responsible for administering all aspects of athletics and recreation for Whatcom Community College (WCC) and ensures programs operate in accordance with the Northwest Athletics Conference (NWAC), the College's mission, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements. The Director for Athletics and Recreation ensures WCC intercollegiate athletic programs are conducted with the highest standards of integrity, and sportsmanship through training and professional development for student athletes, coaches, and departmental staff. This position will also support the highest standards of safety and cleanliness of the Student Recreation Center and Pavilion (SRC/PAV), hire and train staff, enhance existing programs, maintain accurate record keeping/statistics and develop new indoor and outdoor recreation programs and activities. The Director for Athletics and Recreation manages multiple budgets and ensures strict compliance with all cash handling, and related policies, and procedures. Director of Intercultural Services: The Director of Intercultural Services serves as the director for WCC's Simpson Intercultural Center and provides leadership for diversity, equity and inclusion-based programming and education. The Intercultural Center at WCC supports educational equity and academic achievement for diverse student populations by providing access to resources and a safe place to connect through a culture of inclusion and respect. Directing the Intercultural Center, this position will foster leadership and success through support for diverse student populations engaged with Center activities, specifically students of color, students of diverse genders and sexual identities, first generation college students, and students with disabilities.The Director of Intercultural Services will also work with faculty to support the implementation of classroom strategies and curriculum that contribute to closing equity gaps in student outcomes. In collaboration with key stakeholders, and in alignment with the College's strategic plan, the director will ensure that principles of equity, diversity and inclusion are integrated into campus culture in support of student success and achievement.
