HS diploma or equiv. & 2 years facility or ground maintenance experience required. Must be drug free, have excellent driving record & able to obtain crane operator certificate. About WTA
Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) provides public transportation services throughout Whatcom County. Our services include fixed routes, paratransit, and a vanpool program.
- We employ 230 people including operators, mechanics, customer service representatives, route maintenance workers and administrative personnel. Nearly two-thirds of our employees are bus operators.
- WTA properties include our headquarters in north Bellingham, downtown's Bellingham Station, Cordata Station, Ferndale Station and Lynden Station, approximately 1,000 bus stops and 140 bus shelters.
- We operate 57 full-size buses (including eight hybrid electric buses), 37 paratransit minibuses, and 39 vanpool vans.
