Lead Hazard Housing Specialist
Lead Hazard Housing Specialist (Program Representative) $19.65 per hour, plus benefits.
There is one opening with Yakima County Public Services, Affordable Housing. This position is responsible for providing technical assistance, compliance monitoring, outreach and administrative support within the federal Home and/or Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control (LBPHC) grant programs.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED and Four years of experience in one of the following:
- Cost estimator which includes experience preparing cost estimates and bid specifications
- General construction for residential purposes which can include conducting home inspections for assessment of work needed for repairs or to comply with local and state building codes
- Bank or mortgage lender in conducting loan intakes to determine income and property eligibility
- Experience performing comparable work supporting a local, state or federal level program governed by strict guidelines or the equivalent education and experience to perform the essential duties of the position.
Required:
- ICC Property Maintenance Code certification within one year of appointment.
- Valid WA State driver's license and proof of insurance or ability to obtain prior to appointment.
