Bellingham Technical College (BTC) and Whatcom Community College (WCC) invite applications for a shared Research Analyst position. This position is funded through a Title III Cooperative Arrangement Development (CAD) grant. The Research Analyst will design, implement, analyze and communicate results of quantitative and qualitative research, assessment, and evaluation studies related to institutional quality and improvement, grant requirements, and state/federal compliance; monitor the accuracy and effective use of campus data; and train faculty and staff on use of online data analysis tools. The Research Analyst will also maintain updated analytical information on the characteristics, enrollment, retention, graduation, and post-college employment rates of targeted students. This position is expected to exercise initiative, independence and discretion in the development and timely execution of projects.
This is a full-time, grant-funded, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and union exempt, at-will position, reporting to the BTC Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness, with additional direction from the BTC Senior Research Analyst (50%) and WCC Director for Assessment and Institutional Research (50%). The Research Analyst will spend approximately 20 hours per week at BTC and 20 hours per week at WCC. Although this grant is a five-year project, ending September 30, 2020, grant-funded positions are dependent upon project funding, and can end at any time funding is discontinued.
